# Microsoft Teams - Configure the Microsoft Teams Settings in Konexus

## Konexus provides a Microsoft Teams app that provides the ability to integrate our alerting platform with your organization's Microsoft Teams environment. The steps below outline how to configure the Microsoft Teams Settings in Konexus.

### **Configure the Microsoft Teams Settings in Konexus**

In order to properly link your Teams infrastructure with your Konexus account, you will need to provide Konexus with your **Microsoft Tenant ID**.  This ID is assigned by Microsoft and is found in the **Microsoft Entra** directory that is associated with your Teams configuration.

To locate your Microsoft Tenant ID, reference [this documentation](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/fundamentals/how-to-find-tenant) provided by Microsoft.

Once you have found your tenant ID, you're ready to [submit a request](https://support.konexus.com/kb-tickets/new?hsLang=en) with Konexus to enable Microsoft Teams for your Konexus account<https://support.konexus.com/kb-tickets/new?hsLang=en>.  Our Customer Success team will process the request and let you know when you are able to complete the [Microsoft Teams setup form](https://apps.alertsense.com/#/tenant/microsoft-teams) within the Konexus web application.

1\. Enter your Microsoft TenantId

2\. Login using your Microsoft Teams credentials, and accept the required permissions

3\. Optional - Once everything has been configured and the required permissions have been accepted, you can test the integration and create a custom Welcome Message. 

**Testing -** Click the **Test Integration** button will verify Konexus' ability to make requests to the Microsoft Teams environment for your organization.

**Welcome Message -** You can define a custom Welcome Message that will be sent to users to inform them that they have been discovered by the integration.

4\. Optional - Link Existing Konexus users with their Microsoft Teams Account

You can click the **Link Now** button to manually start the process to discover users within your organization who have the Konexus Teams app already installed.

**How are users Discovered?**

- Manual - by clicking the button in the view above
- Automated - Microsoft will inform Konexus when a user installs our Teams app
- Automated - If your organization utilizes Automated Imports for user management, we will initiate the discovery process after each new data upload completes.
