Verifying an existing phone number for Caller ID

You can verify an existing phone number you own to enhance the spam score when making voice calls. If Konexus has already assigned you a Caller ID number, these steps are not necessary.

Note: To successfully verify a phone number as a custom Caller ID, it is essential that you can answer the incoming voice call and input the verification code using your handset.

Warning: If your target phone number has already been forwarded to the Callback System. Please temporarily disable the forwarding before starting the verification process.

  1. Schedule a "Caller ID verification meeting" with Client Success
  2. Before the "Caller ID verification meeting" ensure that you can answer an inbound phone call to the number.
  3. During the "Caller ID verification meeting" 
    1. Client Success will initiate a Verification Call to the desired Caller ID number
    2. A Client Success Team member will provide a Verification Code once you answer the Verification Call.
    3. Enter the Verification Code through your handset (DTMF keys)
    4. If done correctly the phone call will play a success message.
  4. Your Caller ID verification is complete and can be added to your Branding
  5. If desired, forward your verified number to the Callback System number provided to you by Client Success.
