[IPAWS Permissioned Templates](https://support.konexus.com/ipaws?hsLang=en#ipaws-permissioned-templates) # IPAWS Permissioned Templates ## We have added new features that allow control over visibility and management of templates in our IPAWS system. Users that want to manage templates will need the *Manage Template Groups* permission in the Agency Admin Role options.  Once this permission is enabled, Administrators can utilize this new feature to allow access to all or only specific templates. ![](https://support.konexus.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jan-28-2025-05-57-23-4610-PM.png?width=455&height=158&name=image-png-Jan-28-2025-05-57-23-4610-PM.png) Users with the *Manage Template Groups* permission will now see a new menu option in the Admin menu of our site: ![](https://support.konexus.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jan-28-2025-05-57-43-4513-PM.png?width=406&height=434&name=image-png-Jan-28-2025-05-57-43-4513-PM.png) In the IPAWS system, templates are organized into groups, which streamlines the creation of new individual templates. This method alleviates the repetitive task of assigning permissions to users, making the management process more efficient. On the Manage Template Groups page, users can view a comprehensive list of available template groups. From this interface, users have the option to either create a new template group or select an existing one to access and modify its details. ![](https://support.konexus.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jan-28-2025-05-58-09-4056-PM.png?width=477&height=573&name=image-png-Jan-28-2025-05-58-09-4056-PM.png) When creating a new template group, users are required to provide a name for the group. Following this, they have the option to select access control settings that will apply to all users, if they choose to do so. After making these selections, users can click the create button located at the bottom of the page. The five options are as follows: - View/Send Templates - Users can see and send templates inside this group when using the alert form. - Create Templates - Users can create new templates and add them to this group. - Edit Templates - Users can save changes to existing templates in this group. - Delete Templates - Users can delete templates from this group. This action removes the template entirely from all users’ view. - Manage Template Group - Users can see management options for this group as if they had the Manage Group Templates permission. If the administrator already has the **Agency Administrator** permission, they will *not* be able to be restricted with Access Control.  Agency Administrator permission designates the user as a main administrator for the system. These options can be applied universally or customized for individual users, depending on your needs. Template groups established prior to the introduction of this feature will automatically be accessible to all users. When a permission option is selected in the Everyone section, the corresponding permission in the Individual users section will update to display "*Enabled for All*," clearly indicating the change. ![](https://support.konexus.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jan-28-2025-05-59-28-9947-PM.png?width=688&height=603&name=image-png-Jan-28-2025-05-59-28-9947-PM.png) For users who possess the Manage Template Groups permission, the permission checkboxes will be grayed out. This indicates that their higher-level permission takes precedence over any specific permissions assigned to individual groups on this page.
